We are eager to catch some fish after days of traveling, but the real fishing activity started only on the 3rd day of arrival. Here are some fishes we caught in various locations near Anjungan and Mandor.
First location,
Betta anabatoides
Betta rutilan
Betta strohi
Secand location in Anjungan, we have to take a 30mins walk to the fishing spot. Nobody will able to find this place except the native!
Parosphromenus anjunganensis habitat.
P. anjunganesis in kordon bag.
In my tank.
The 3rd location. This black water stream is one the most beautiful stream I ever seen, it located right besides a Karangas forest, hence nice white sands are buried by the crystal clear black water.
Both Betta mandor and strohi are the member of foerschi group, Betta mandor is used to be called Betta foerschi mandor before reclassified.
This Betta mandor is extremely fierce! It flaring and fighting even in my Kordon bag!
Puntius pentazona
Puntius eugrammus
Sphaerichthys osphromenoides a.k.a Chocolate Gourami.
Channa bankanensis? i bought this fish from the native boy for 2000 rupiah, absolutely stunning color!
Catfish, any idea what species?
My favorite Parosphromenus ornaticauda, i was overwhelmed when i first saw this species.
And the surprised find! Paedocypris progenetica, i fund this little fish by accident when I washing my legs on the time we about to leave.
Boraras brigittae in my tank.

JOshua,
wow U r right, they are beautiful, however can we not find these in
Malaysia, say in streams inside those Palm Oil Estates or rubber estate.
My thinking it would be nice to go to FELDA plantations in Sabah and search for them and other species. I have a classmate there, maybe I can
try him out on this venture

Frac, those found in peninsula are different species, these fishes are territorial.
