Thanks for the reply. I hope there is an inventory at FRIM at least we may know what they have and BMNH will have an inventory of specimens from Malaysia. Museums are not the best institutions in the world to let public know what they have. I may be wrong. By saying Tg Malim I think you mean that the area is quite close to the Sg. Dusun FR where Wildlife Dept. has the Tapir Conservation Centre? No need to say exactly where but I have a general idea. Thanks.

Yes, they need to hire an agent to do the works. There had went thru a proper procedure and paper work with FRIM, so the shipping of specimens out of the country and tour arrangement was all done by them.

So how many species and total specimens did the BMNH people catch and collect from the Tg. Malim site? If any people are allowed to catch and collect fauna specimens from the rich biodiversity resources in our country, are they not required to get a permit from the Wildlife Dept.? or other Govt. agencies? Are they also not required to deposit a report or list of the BioD resources they collected and take out of the country. Just curious. It's quite easy to get BioD resources here.
Thanks for any reply,
