Kalimantan Barat a.k.a KalBar is one of the four provinces of Indonesia located in Borneo island. It has the population of more than 6 million with Christian community as majority.

Our destination is the capital city name Pontianak. We took a bis (bus) from Kuching crossing Indonesia border via Tebudu checkpoint. It was a long 10 hours journey!

Churches are commonly seen along the way.

This scene showing a passenger sitting on the roof of the bus together with the baggage, I’m not sure if it’s common to the native but definitely not commonly seen to me.

The bus stop right in front to a monopolized restaurant in the middle of no way and the driver turned off the air-con forcing everyone out for lunch. What choice do we have?

Nope, we have none! And I’m served with the worst Coffee ever tested in my life!
