Read Expedition Journey to Sarawak part 1.

We continue our journey in the afternoon to explore the lower part of Rajang river,

Herman discovered a secret path that go along the river which commenced from Lanang bridge. Before proceeding in our exploration, we made a visit to “our fellow”, Cryptcoryne Yujii.

C. Yujii is blackwater variety species, and it is easier to cultivate.

A closer look at the patch.

We did some fishing in the stream hopefully find my target fish, Parosphromenus Allani, but unfortunately we could not find any.

But on the other hand, God bless us with a rare black water puffer! Yeah…. the first puffer i ever caught.

Herman holding my prize fish, and looking envious!

I was seating bored when driving along Rajang river, as there was not much interesting found except some betta waseri.

But the excitement was ahead as we gonna revisit the long lost C. lingua. This crypt is very popular among aquatic plant hobbyist. Most

of the plants found in local fish shop are tissue cultured. The origina home of C. Lingua are lost until recently Herman rediscovered it in Sibu.

By the way, C. Lingua is mangrove variety.

Terrain of C. lingua covered with mud under the hot sun.

A closer look of the plant.

The last stop of the day before driving back to Kuching, to C. pallidinervia site, i finally found my dream fish

Parosphromenus Allani in the stream.

C. pallidinervia is blackwater variety.

Emerge condition.

Collected specimen.

We spent the night in Kuching town. Since Our flight back to KL is due in the evening, we still have a little bit of time to visit C. Keei site.

Water level was low, and the C. Keei was booming. Wow! look at this fabulous spathe, looks like a queen in her royal gown.

This is me with the crypts.

Find full gallery of C. Keei here.

Our last itenary of the day was to meet a professor at Unimas Kuching. Behind the us is the swamp, we tried to catch betta brownorum

but tide was too low where to find them. Instead, we found a beautiful patch of C. Longicauda there.
